Who Rescued Whom?
On a warm, muggy Saturday morning with 88% humidity hanging in the air, Stella and I set out into the woods for a slightly longer trail trek than usual. The real twist this time was mounting a GoPro directly onto Stella’s back so we could experience the journey entirely from her perspective as she climbed through the trees and navigated the terrain. Seeing the woods through a dog’s eyes captures an unfiltered joy that is impossible to replicate, turning every brush rustle and dirt path into pure adventure. Even when the camera needed a quick clean and adjustment along the trail, her enthusiasm never wavered for a second.
Moments like these always bring me back to the incredible joy of rescuing an American Staffordshire Terrier. AmStaffs have a remarkable way of opening your heart and showing you what true loyalty, tenderness, and unconditional love actually look like. Every outdoor hike and shared milestone reminds me of how deeply our bond runs. People often talk about what it means to give a rescue dog a home, but out on the trail, the truth is undeniable: Stella has done far more for me than I could ever do for her.
